We are all taught to dream big, to use our imagination to explore endless possibilities in the world around us. Now, imagine your dream playground. What does this space look like?
As part of the Stella’s Playground campaign, we did just that. We asked students across Milwaukee to use their creativity, imagine their dream playground, and design a picture of this space. We encouraged them to think big.
These ideas did not disappoint, and the students delivered. From fun features to thoughtful touches, students envisioned spaces filled with joy and inclusivity. Here are just a few ideas of what students imagined when they thought of their dream playground.
- Go-kart racing
- A splash pad
- Wheelchair accessible ramps and swings
- A rainbow road
- Quiet zones with noise-canceling headphones
- A “Mindfulness Meadow”
